Tree House Museum...cont.

This was a picture map of the State of Utah. Their was questions about the history of Utah that the kids had to find the matching area and picture to. They really enjoyed this activity. It was nice to just sit and watch them, right Rebekah?

Adam and Andrew really enjoyed the Western theme area.

The Tree House Museum-Ogden, Utah

South America dress up. There were lots of places to dress up and visit cultures in the museum. Carson and Adam took full advantage of the fun available.

Brooklyn and Emmalee found lots of crafts and games to play at each station.

Adam and Carson engaged in a game of chess. This was a lot of fun to watch until that little boy showed up and just started knocking over all the pieces. We were all proud of Adam to just walk away. A dissappointed boy, but he and Carson went back and tried it again after the boy left. Good game.

Andrew really enjoyed dressing up like "hero's" This was his favorite, an astronaught.

Mini Golf

Here they are all together. Golfing with black lights. It was fun for everyone.

Temple Square

Our trip to temple square was exciting. All the children loved seeing the statue of Christ. This was the highlight of our trip. We spent quite a few hours all around temple square and if the children wern't so tired, I think we could have stayed all day. Another trip is definately on the agenda for next year. This is Emmalee, Adam and Andrew. I didn't get pictures of all the kids here, but Rebekah got her children. You'll have to ask her for a look.

This statue depicts the pioneer handcarts and the kids stood up next to the little boy pushing the handcart to see if he was "their size". It was a good hands on experience. Aren't they a good looking bunch of modern pioneers?
They all found a nice place to relax and watch the short LDS commercials.

This was Adam's favorite. It is a quarter scale model of the Salt Lake Temple. He spent quite a bit of time just looking at all the rooms and thinking. We all moved on to other displays and realized that Adam was still there looking into the temple model. I was impressed with it as well. When we got home after the week, there was a two page article in the Church News about the new display. That was fun to read about after experiencing it ourselves.

This is a replica of the carts used to haul the granite stones from the canyons to the East of Salt Lake that were used to build the Salt Lake Temple. Love, love, love history.

A backyard and a baseball

The boys loved being outside playing baseball and just enjoying the great weather. It was so nice most of the days. Andrew played baseball with Boston. I have to say Boston and the position on catcher was perfect. He knew just what to do. Yes, that's me on the computer. Can you say obsessive?

Eden, Utah

We stopped by the cemetary in Eden as we remembered Fred (Deda's husband). There were so many flowers on the graves and flags everywhere. It was a week after memorial day. We had a very nice day!

We took at trip up the road to Eden, Utah to visit with Aunt Deda but she wasn't home. Her daughter in law saw us in the driveway from accross the street and came over to see who we were. She told us that Deda had gone for the afternoon up to Brigham City for lunch at Maddox with her sisters, Jean andMarilyn. I'm sure Dad would have loved to have had lunch with them as did we. It was fun to walk around the property and see all the fun places we would play as kids. We went over to Jim and Lucy's house to see if they were home....not so lucky. However, we did get to meet their son, Ty.

Then on to Davis County for a week of fun with Rebekah. The kids had a great time hanging out with cousins. Bowling was the highlight followed by miniature golf and then more bowling. Funny stuff that Boston (2 years old) beat everyone's bowling score.

Carson and Adam were always willing to be such a great help with the little ones.

Trip to Utah

Our annual trip to Provo to drop off Jonathan at BYU for his Especially For Youth Conference and we had the opportunity to visit with Rachel and Brian jr. They were busy with finals for the semester, but sqeezed in a bit of time to go to lunch and visit. It was a lot of fun to have all the kids together again.

Blue and Gold 2010

Blue and Gold Dinner for 2010. We are glad that Adam attends Cub Scouts and our family gets to attend these great events. We were greatful to Albertsons Grocery as they donated all the food for the dinner. Andrew loved the little carrots and always loves to be a part of Cub Scouts.

Sister Humphries passed our "Recognition Gifts" to all the leaders.

Emmalee's Cupcakes

Emmalee is mastering the art of cupcake making. These are the first two attemps made and I think she did an excellent job. They were so very yummy to eat also.

The Boys in Alabama

Jon, Adam, Andrew and Dad all took a mini vacation to Alabama in February. Grandma and Grandpa Scroggins were glad to have them visit for the week. It was beautiful with freshly planted flowers in the ground one day and the next day....it was snowing! What a great vacation. The boys traveled from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa so they could see the campus of Alabama Crimson Tide. Lots of rain, but lots of fun.

The boys had a great trip visiting with family and enjoyed the relaxing time together. Emma and Mom stayed home and got lots of "girly" stuff accomplished. Finally have some of my photos in albums for others to enjoy.
