We took at trip up the road to Eden, Utah to visit with Aunt Deda but she wasn't home. Her daughter in law saw us in the driveway from accross the street and came over to see who we were. She told us that Deda had gone for the afternoon up to Brigham City for lunch at Maddox with her sisters, Jean andMarilyn. I'm sure Dad would have loved to have had lunch with them as did we. It was fun to walk around the property and see all the fun places we would play as kids. We went over to Jim and Lucy's house to see if they were home....not so lucky. However, we did get to meet their son, Ty.

Eden, Utah
We stopped by the cemetary in Eden as we remembered Fred (Deda's husband). There were so many flowers on the graves and flags everywhere. It was a week after memorial day. We had a very nice day!
Trip to Utah
Our annual trip to Provo to drop off Jonathan at BYU for his Especially For Youth Conference and we had the opportunity to visit with Rachel and Brian jr. They were busy with finals for the semester, but sqeezed in a bit of time to go to lunch and visit. It was a lot of fun to have all the kids together again.

The Boys in Alabama
Jon, Adam, Andrew and Dad all took a mini vacation to Alabama in February. Grandma and Grandpa Scroggins were glad to have them visit for the week. It was beautiful with freshly planted flowers in the ground one day and the next day....it was snowing! What a great vacation. The boys traveled from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa so they could see the campus of Alabama Crimson Tide. Lots of rain, but lots of fun.
Andrew enjoyed sitting next to Grandpa Scroggins in his little chair.
Look at the snowman the boys made. Adam borrowed Dad's socks for gloves.
A Valentines present from the boys....flowers! yeah.
The boys had a great trip visiting with family and enjoyed the relaxing time together. Emma and Mom stayed home and got lots of "girly" stuff accomplished. Finally have some of my photos in albums for others to enjoy.

Adam's Science Fair Project
Mentos and Soda Bottle Rockets. Adam had a great time figuring this experiment out. He and Jon taped mint Mentos to the inside of the bottle lid and slowly put the lid on the bottle. You then shake it really good until you can feel the presure inside the bottle. Throw it up in the air and when it hits the ground it shoots back up into the air about 50 feet. The 7up doesn't work. The Diet Pepsi worked and so did the Dr. Pepper. It was concluded that the citric acid does not cause the presure needed. It was a lot of fun.
As you can see, when you don't follow the instruction of taping the Mentos to the lid, you don't have time to put the lid on an throw it. Brian got half the bottle sprayed on him.
More pictures tell a great story.
